This blog is for owners or people who'd like to be owners at the Belltel Lofts at 365 Bridge Street Downtown Brooklyn. Also, anyone wanting to discuss Downtown Brooklyn in general.
[Engine Joe]: I'll be honest, this is basically what happened to us - not so much the "mega bonus" as the "unexpected substantially large raise". Made it worth staying for X years and thus worth buying.
Born and bred indeed.I was born in Bensonhurst and lived there most of my life. Moved to Westchester for 4 yrs, to get a taste of suburbia. Didn't like the taste. Then, made my way back to Park Slope, where I've been for 1 1/2 yrs. Now, soon to be a DoBro resident (aka: center of the world)
[EJ]: We currently live in the Slope, too... we love it here, but the prices to buy here are just too high for anything decent in terms of location and space.
ej I'm with you on that one. I explored the idea of owning in Park Slope. The main problem was a fimiliar story. I loved everything that was out of my price range and hated everything in my price range. It was either historically beautiful and expensive or a new construction piece of garbage that was slapped together to make a profit.
I'm very happy with the decision I made in Belltel.

Are you originally from Brooklyn or New York? If you don't mind me asking.
[EJ]: No, I'm from Chicago and my wife's from D.C. - but she's been in NYC since 1989 and I've been in Brooklyn for nearly a decade...
I assume you're born-and-bred, with a handle like "guyfromdobro"...
