Feel free to Discuss anything you'd like in this section. Ask Questions about Belltel, Downtown Brooklyn or what ever you'd like. Maybe your thinking about buying and would like to hear from the people who are buying in the neighboorhood. Maybe you already live in DoBro and have some things to add to the blog. Where's the best pizza in walking distance? Best all night Diner? 24hr store? Thanks for your input in advance.

I'll get things rolling in an obvious way:

The best place to get pizza w/in walking distance is unquestionably Grimaldi's. I think that's pretty much hands-down.

BUT, of course, they don't deliver, nor do they sell by the slice. So what about places to get a slice or delivery?

I would be interested to hear if anyone has heard from the sales staff whether the TCO is expected to be received next month, or whether it is anticipated to be delayed to May.

The last that I heard was that it was still April.

grimaldi's is definitely NOT walking distance- unless you consider a 30 minute walk to be walking distance...

Are you walking through Queens to get there? Do you know where Grimaldi's is? According to Hopstop.com, it's an 18 min walk at an average pace.

Yah, I can get over there from Borough Hall in about 12 minutes (though to be fair, I walk at a pretty brisk pace most of the time). I'd think Hopstop's estimate is pretty dead on for "standard" walking.

In any event, it is less than a mile - and in NYC, that's not "get in a car or cab" distance by any stretch... except when the weather is extreme.

Well there is MY LITTLE PIZZIERA on Court ST. they deliever. There's Starbucks on Jay, just walk through METECH, Bon Pain around the corner. Betty's Bakery to die for on Atlantic 6 block walk, basically it's a 6 long block walk to everything, health food too on Montague, Remsen, etc. and let's not forget the long ten block walk to Target and Pathmark. If you have a car there's Fairway!
